Somerville Ancient Heavyweight Tartan is a colourful orange-based tartan with shades of green.

The first of this name in Scotland was on William de Somerville, who came in the train of David I and received lands in Lanarkshire. He died around 1142 and was buried at Melrose Abbey. By 1723 the Somerville peerage was eventually acknowledged by the House of Lords and John, the thirteenth Lord Somerville, stood for election as a representative peer of Scotland.
