The Lochcarron of Scotland Lambswool Serape is the ultimate Winter-Spring essential. This is an "invented" name for a trade pattern which originated in the early 1970s. Other variants of the design (in different colourways) appeared in later years. No place or family of the name is known and the pattern lacks any association with Bannockburn, the home of the "industrialisation" of tartan weaving, and the site of Bruce's famous victory in 1314. This pattern may be used by anyone who has a liking for it.
